Feeling the Scout/ Guide spirit with a hike

Once a Scout/ Guide is always a scout/ guide.
Date and duration – Saturday, 9th September 2017. 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Venue – Lee Dassanayaka Scout camp, Meerigama.
Transport will be provided from Girl Guide Headquarters, 10, Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha Colombo 7, at Rs. 350/= per person (inclusive of children). The bus will leave Gide Headquarters to Meerigama at 7.45 a.m.
Participants – Scouts/ Guides over 18 years old, with families.
Children under 12 years should be accompanied by the parents
Registration fee – Rs.650.00 per participant, inclusive of meals. Rs.500.00 for children under 12
Meals and food – Welcome drink, lunch and evening tea.
Other facilities – 2 cabins for male and female for changing.
Dress code – Casual with scarf if you have.
Program – will suit irrespective of gender or age.
9.00 am to 10.00 am – Registration and get to know each other.
10.00 am – Welcome rally.
10.30 am – Commencement of hike in small groups (patrols)
Fun activities/ Treasure hunts /Games and fun activities for those who do not Want to participate at the hike.
1.00 pm – lunch and sing song.
3.00 pm – Open forum
3.30 pm – Games
4.30 pm – Departure
What to bring – appropriate attire for hike, camera if you prefer, any medicine, first aid if you
need and musical instruments if you able to play.
